I created 8 posters, 5 bookmarks, and 3 banners as part of the Oregon State University Valley Library's 25 years of the Valley Library campaign. Historical images engage patrons in the story of where this integral space came from, and where it is now.

OSU branding, colors and fonts, as well as library imagery, were used in every step of the design process.

Poster Collection One

〰️

Poster Collection One 〰️

This poster series focuses on fun moments throughout the history of the Oregon State University libraries.

Three of the posters were created with photos sourced from archives. The poster sans citation was sourced from the Valley Library Flickr account.

These posters focus on shots with people to give a glimpse of some snapshots of the libraries past.

Each poster is complete with a short descriptive caption.

Installed in the space, this series would be printed at 36”x48” and mounted in sequence.

Poster Collection Two

〰️

Poster Collection Two 〰️

This poster series includes imagery from every iteration of the Oregon State University library.

The first three posters were created with photos sourced from archives. The last poster, The Valley Library, was made with my own photography.

These posters focus on wide shots that give a good idea of the overall outside (or in the case of the Library Room whose outside shot would just be a door, the inside) of the libraries.

Their grayscale coloring was edited to match for cohesion. Each poster is complete with fast facts about how it fits into the timeline of the library.

Installed in the space, this series would be printed at 36”x48” and mounted in sequence.

Banners

〰️

Banners 〰️

These banners focus on multitudes of images, past and present of the Valley Library and its previous iterations.

The first and last posters are complete with short descriptive captions to provide context to the large, arial shot.

As the largest pieces of this series, the visual and literal language give a sense of the over all project. It speaks to a glimpse into the past of a space that has now stood standing for 25 years. A space that in all of its many reincarnations has supported students for well over 100 years.

Installed in the space, this series would be printed at 48” x 144” and mounted to an interior library wall.

Bookmarks

〰️

Bookmarks 〰️

This series of five bookmarks includes imagery from Oregon State University Special Collections and Archival Research Center.

The bookmarks function to one: display moments throughout not just the library, but OSU’s history, and two: advertise OSU SCARC.

These prints focus on engaging imagery that sparks curiosity about OSU’s past and the work OSU SCARC does.

Short, to the point captions provide a deeper glimpse into the photos.

In the space, these would function as handouts at the front desk or tabling events. They print at 2” x 7”.
